Upper Primary
The final years of primary school at St John’s are seen as essential for preparing our students for secondary school. We believe that these years help students stand tall and prepare them for the skills they will need throughout their life.
Our reputation as a school provides excellence in education, meeting each child where they are and developing them to reach their potential. Students graduating from St Johns’ are known for their integrity, academic ability and readiness to serve others.
In addition, to smooth the transition into secondary school, we have built strong relationships with local high schools. For the students who are attending Faith Lutheran College, we organise multiple visits during these final years to ensure that move to secondary school is a positive and exciting experience.
Creating Connections
To further support our endeavour to provide an engaging environment for the ‘whole child’ to grow and blossom, we have a school Care Coordinator that is actively involved in all aspects of the school community. The network of Class Carers coordinated by our school Care Coordinator helps to build strong networks with our parents, students and staff. Parenting information along with social skill development and support in the area or grief and loss are other elements of our Pastoral Care program.
