At today's closing Chapel service we farwelled Pastor Josh after 8 years of serving our school community in Worship.
Each class delivered their own special farewell messages. Through songs, poetry, photos and even a Pastor Josh impersonator!
The audience, and indeed Pastor Josh, were kept well entertained!!
In closing, our school captains, on behalf of all the staff and students, presented Pastor Josh with a special frame as a momento of his time here at St John's.

Staff at St Johns are blessed to be surrounded by many wonderful people within the school community who volunteer their time in suppprt of our school and also gift us with their generosity and thoughtfulness😊
Today was no exception when, in a random act of kindness, one of our parents delivered a homemade lasagne and garlic bread for the staff to enjoy at lunchtime😊

Congratulations to the 12 SJLS students who competed in the 🏃‍♂️Cross Country event🏃‍♀️ at Nuriootpa today. We also acknowledge those who were selected in the team to represent our school but were unable to attend.
All students put forward their best efforts and in doing so achieved some brilliant results!

WALK SAFELY TO SCHOOL DAY
The annual event, now in its 23rd year, aims to encourage children to lead a healthier, more active lifestyle by walking to school or simply including a walk at the beginning, at lunchtime and at the end of each day. Apart from the physical benefits regular walking has a favourable impact on children's cognitive and academic performance. The event is also aimed at promoting road safety to primary school children throughout Australia.
